At age ten, I was having breakfast with my little sister
Had our unifuniformsorms on, getting ready for school
I started experiencing pains in my stomach
Lost consciousness and was rushed down to the hospital
Seven days lying on the sick bed, tears in my mama's eyes
Mama praying effortlessly, a bright light fell upon my heart
He saved me
I was driving on the highway with friends
Suddenly the break went out of control
Car ran behind a trailer, smashed into her back side
We drifted and dashed into the woods
No car overheating, no death sustained
I came out with but a little scratch on my left arm
He saved me
Walking down the street to get a beer at the liquor store
At gun point, I was arrested by the police and handcuffed
Sentenced forty years to life, for murder on awaiting trial
That moment, all my sins flashes between my eyes
My soul going to hell, soberly I went to God on my knees
God gave me a clean slate, by His grace, now I am free
He saved me

I realized everything I've done affects the people around me
Life grows more and more responsibility
Made a lot of choices that I can't be proud of
Call me names if may or instead call me a rip off
Life got a way of smacking a man on the head
And made him lose track of the things he desires to have
I want to apologize for all the things I put you through
Made you keep so much pain inside of you
I am sorry I wasn't there when you needed a friend
I add more to your grief instead of lending a hand
It seems I never cared much about you
It hurts me more to loose the friendship I found in you
Your thoughts kept me going when challenges came my way
Every time you get on your knees, for my wellbeing you pray
I found out today you're the reason behind my success
By the will of God, I'll never again break any promises
I wish life comes in prototypes
I would become a better man in next life
If you look beyond my imperfection as human
You'll find out deep inside the heart I am a good man
Sorry It took this long for me to see
I cannot wish life the way I wanted it to be
We've all got limitations of the things we can do
I'll take back every breath I've got to make it right by you

But I've got in me holy substance
The will of a thousand soldiers
The world can't curtail my ego
Victory proclaimed everywhere I go
Unequal to man, the weapons in my hand
God the father, the Son and Holy Spirit
I walk in the presence of the most high
My cup overflows with blessings divine
I dine with the king of kings
Heaven is my home and fortress
