YOU'RE NOT ALONE

As we celebrate the 8th month of the year, I want you to know that you are never alone irrespective of what you may be going through at the moment. My condolence to my brothers and sisters in the northern part of Nigeria, for the loss of their loved ones due to insurgency. This is also dedicated to everyone out there that has lost someone dear to the heart. May you find that inner peace of mind and love restored back in your life. 

 

Look up how the cloud fills the sky

It can accommodate all your wishes and dreams

Don't you sometimes feel the wind walking by?

When you are hurt, it is alright to cry

Life got a curtain that shades away from the past

Rest your emotions on the wind of hope cast

Let the tide ease the heart, mind, and soul

You can find the sun at the edge of tomorrow

Life may toss and turn, but it can't take away your ego

In between the light, you will find a life with purpose

After every bend there comes across a pathway

You will not go far with a heart burden along the way

Take a step at a time and don't look back

Stop dragging along with your plight of the past

Pick up your bag and shoes, for the day is beautiful

The day is not complete if she ain't part of you

AMBITION OF A WRITER

The sun seems to last in a writer's heart

Shedding the voices locked inside

To the hill taken is a message to the wind

Blind in thought, but open in mind

Yet the sky may be out of reach

To the world, there is a message to preach

All night the heart seeks retribution

For a world heading into destruction

A writer sees the world through his heart

A fool standing for what’s right

He is the voice on the street until he dies

His comfort sacrificed for the hopeless

He stands for a world inequality is not tolerated

A good life for all, under the sun and cloud

He seeks not a heart honor-bound

The ambition of a writer is to be heard

STRENGTH OF A WOMAN

A Poem Celebrating Women across the world....

A woman nurture the birth of the world
With hope, love, kindness and care
God blessed the world in her womb
She is divine in nature and full of grace

Her plea exonerate the unity of man
Night and day, she looks out for the well-being of her child
Her tears cleans the sky and mold the heart
For the world never to be sad

Today, life is made beautiful
Out of the countenance of a woman's virtue
She carries the burden of the world
For our children's children to have a brighter day

Thank God for the perseverance of a woman
For she is the apple of God's eye
Forged with the very essence of life
So that the world will never die
