IF I WAS YOUR BEST FRIEND

If I was your best friend
I will be there for you to always make you smile
I will pluck you a bucket of stars
So your nights will always stay bright
I will paint a picture of an angel on my wall
Each day I will remind myself how lucky I am

If I was your best friend
You wake up one morning and you are feeling blue
I could be a million miles, but I will be there for you
If for some reason you feel so sad and want to cry
You’ve got my shoulder to lift your spirit high

If I was your best friend
I have got no reason not to share my whole heart with you
You’ve been the reason why I have never been sad
I will take you on a trip to an island
We will lie all night at the beach sipping brandy
I will sing you a song, tell you how I feel just been around you

If I was your best friend
I will sit beside you and watch the moon together
Everywhere you go, I will walk along side with you
I will be there for you when you need someone to tell your dreams
Smile with you, Support you, and give you a reason to believe in your dreams
I will be that one person you can trust
Someone that can love you and care for you as much as you deserve

THE BEAUTY OF AN AFRICAN WOMAN

An African woman is the pride of her man
When she goes out, she carries her culture along with her
She teaches her child the heritage of our fathers
She is strong; she can withstand the adversity of the world
She is a good friend, always there to lend a helping hand

An African woman plant her home with humility
She nurture the needs of her man
Embrace him with warm comfort and love
She does not mind going hungry for the world to feed
Good upbringing of her children is her most prized possession

An African woman makes an occasion colorful any day
Her native attire and headgear neatly dressed
Matches the beauty of an angel
When she speaks, it is with a soft tone that carries wisdom

She does not find fault in her man; she is patient and understanding

An African woman always fight for her home
When she gives her heart, she does so wholeheartedly
When she falls in love, there is no string attached
Whenever she smiles, it lights up the sky and the world smiles with her
Wherever she nest, she spread her wings to protect her home

When an African woman prepares a meal, the gods cannot resist it savor
She is content with her man than be a arrogant queen
An African woman will always be the prestige of her man
Without an African woman you cannot define an African man

I WAS LONELY YESTERDAY

Will you believe me if I had told you I was lonely yesterday?
I was lonely despite I was hanging out my with friends
There were thoughts I couldn’t tell anyone beside you
Time was running slow, the day seems like it will never end
I wanted to pick up the phone to call
But have told you I was doing fine
Then the rain came pouring down
I just stood outside staring at the cloud
It’s getting late and I have used up my only chance of seeing you tonight
It was like spending a lifetime without you
I have never been used to spending my evening without you
Its okay, you can laugh at me. I would have done the same
I just realized that I can’t spend a day without you
I just found out that I love you more than I think I do
Right now you are the most important thing to me

I wouldn’t have been lonely yesterday if i had you here with me
