OH NIGERIA

Oh Nigeria, why do you allow me to bleed?
Why do you allow your selfish desires get into your head?
Why are you destroying God ultimate creation out of despair?
You cold blooded minded and selfishly leave pains and despair
You pierced my heart in my sleep and leave him to die in the morning
And shed man's bosom with fear and tears and mourning
As fate sat by the park and watched souls unjustly destroyed without pity
Murdered on a broad day, chaos running in the midst of the city
Hearts broken into pieces, the atmosphere we can't bear
Lives taken off the streets like balloons flown into the air
Wounds left in our hearts that can never be healed
Please, you've got to stop this madness and give love a chance to stay
You've got to change your perception and look at life with a heart that cares
For violence only bring us pain, hatred and regrets
I mourn with thousands of families who love ones will never see
For they left us so abruptly that we couldn't find time goodbye to say
May the souls of all the lost heroes rest in thy will this day
May they find the peace they never had while here on earth they once stayed
May the light of conviction shine in our hearts and it be changed
May it come but chase away these shadows of hatred
It’s enough going through life just to be fed
For man got to stop destroying lives each and everyday
For we need peace and God's love to forever stay
