I DO NOT BELIEVE IN LOVE

I don't believe in love
It doesn't take me very far
I have for long been searching
If I could ever find someone new

That would treat me like you do
But since you went away
Life has been very lonely
I could feel my heart dying

Why do you have to go so soon?
Left me hanging on a thread
Should have known, you give me strength
You are are everything I believed in

Sorry, I didn't mean to be selfish
The pain of loosing you
Is holding me back
There are no more rainbows in my cloud

TOO MUCH TROUBLE

Hope it aren't too much trouble
To ask you on a date
I want to make it up to you
Did you know I have tried?

Fruitless efforts to keep away from you
It froze my heart anytime I look into your eyes
It gets me wondering if I am out of my mind
Hide my feelings within a wrinkled smile

While the night is spent in regret
Pray for courage a next day
Its awful when I think of my ordeal
Why I keep falling in love with you

Its obvious I am no match for you
For you are amazingly beautiful
To get used to you will take forever
It's worst that I don't have a clue

THERE WAS A TIME

 

There was a time
The human mind bore consciousness
Beauty of living a resourceful life
Of the mind free of conjugation

A world perfect 

Flowers tendered in the garden
Trees growing as high as the sky
Sunset kisses the rose as the morning lie

Clouds were made of dreams
A good life for all sundries
Summer lasted longer in the heart
Families rejoicing forever

I remember mom and dad's loving hugs
The thoughts of catching a rainbow
Thoughts of running down the field chasing butterflies
Laying on the grass watching the stars

It could be extremely dark when the light's out
Somehow I knew I would catch fireflies 

Reflecting on my dreams
Memories I could never trade
