LITTLE GIRL

Little girl
Left out to fend by her self
She cries out in the depth of the night
For a kiss and a bed time hug
For a mother's unprecedented love
But there is no one out there that heed to her call

What could she have done to deserve this cruelty?
Of a world lust for wealth and power
No one cares in the world any more
No one cares how many tears she cries
I can not tell you not to hate the world
I can't blame you for being sarcastic to every one

Oh little girl, it is almost time for the sun to be up
Let him hold your hand and lite your smile
You can become great, prove the world wrong
It saddens the heart that your father rejected you
And your mother could not help but abandon you
This made you grow up without a family but all alone

I am sorry, my words might not be comforting
Can you allow the flower in your heart to be tendered?
Open your heart to forgive and forget
I know you are strong, you are a brave little girl
I pray you find the courage to move on
Prove to the world that you are now grown up

MISTAKES

Every day, mistakes are made
Sometimes we learn from it
Sometimes we ignored it and walk away
You may not realize this
Mistakes has become part of our lives
It defines who we truly are
It tells the nature of the person inside

You cannot move higher in life
Making the same mistakes each day
Everything needed to succeed in life is not around you
But have to look inward to identify them
Not hiding in the dark chasing someone else’s dream
Life don’t just play it unfair because you are black
Do not expect her to give you a pat on the back

We do not life in a simple world
You have to fight for what you believe in
Run an extra mile if that is what it takes
To get to your destination
Stop blaming the world for your problems
Do not expect the wind to blow challenges away
You have to make sacrifices to excel in life

SORROW

Sorrow crippled life
Just as hate purges the heart
The timid sun lies in grief
Battered by the selfishness of man

Unwanted memories could go away
Man chooses to kill one another
Left souls of children laying in the grave
As the world deteriorate from unloved

Life withers, insecurity is on the rise
The evil in the heart of men escalates even more
For the sky is now gray, the night homeless
But now the world wants to destroy the moonlight
