MY HERO

In my heart you have always been my hero
At the break of dawn you are already awake
And work so hard to take care of me
You did not have the best job

But you always provide meal on the table
Took care of all the needs of the family
I am sorry at my youth, I proved to be stubborn
I put you through much pain and embarrassment

Thought I was keeping my pride
I never knew you wanted the best for me
But I am glad you did not spared the rod
It is what has guided me to become independent today

I know I have not been a good kid
You where patient, and knew I was going to come around
I never understood why you made reference to the past
Yet glad I listened; despite I did not understand

You taught me that we can make our own future
We all had a chance to fashion our goals
Towards achieving success in life
Who will ever thought I will be writing a poem about you

Neighbors criticized me that I will amount to no good
Today their faces are filled with shame and disbelief
Mouth locked for fear of self conviction
When they see me walking with my head up high

Nothing I give back can compensate for your love
I can not repay back all the sacrifices you made for my sake
I am so sorry life has never been fair to you
You are my hero, the sun that shines in my dark life

I would have been lost if it had not been for you
Thank you for helping me to succeed in life
Because of you, I am proud to be a fulfilled man
I will forever love and cherish you dad

FRAGILE MEMORIES

My thoughts have been endless
My ambition staring at me
Am in the middle of my ecstasy
Trying to find the path of an ambition man
Within a little time I had to make my own destiny
And accept her unconditionally
Make friends in a world full of enmity
Challenge the odds this worlds has offered
Can you hear the silence of the night?
The memories she carries as she fades away?
The memories she bears for a million years?
It must have been a burden been a man
Carrying so much worries in our heart
An unnecessary regrets for fate we can’t influence
I must make my tomorrow’s today
Be a proud pauper than a zealous king
A servant to my own heart
A slave to my ambitions
And an hero to a deprived man

CROSSROAD

Just one road to cross
Just one life to live
Life’s so short to live all our dreams
It’s so fast if you don’t have a grip
You can lose all you've been working so hard for
Sometimes it can sneak behind you
Make you lose faith in all what you believe in
Every man is striving to live a decent life
Sometimes he does odd jobs just to get by
Maybe man’s destiny has been predetermined
To carry the burden of the world on his shoulder
He has the knowledge, strength, skills, foresight and passion
The will to hustle and provide his family’s daily needs
For this reason God made the sun to always shine down on him
He is a stranger to his own ambition and listens to his conscience
Life is on a cross road, we've got just one path to take
