Dedicated to my dear sister Esther Emmanuel whom is celebrating her birthday today the 27th May

Today would be incomplete

If out of the smile you brought to our lives

The joy and companion you bear

I fail to remember you when a kid chasing your dreams

Why the stars where bright around you

Why God had a special plan for you

He told me everything you've lost He will be renew

Your blessing will be like a river that flows around the world

For a diamond will not match the worth of your joy

Your birth was a piece of the puzzle which made up a beautiful world

As you celebrate your birthday today

It reminds us the beauty of your love and affection we gain

Today it rained because God was shedding joy

For it wasn't easy for Him when he gave you away

He loved you so much but he knew you were meant in our lives to stay

I will celebrate in my heart with you such a special day

CAN'T STOP LOVING YOU

Walking in the dark with thoughts of you

The cloud has a touch of grey and fading blue

I have the feeling I will see you

It wasn't a mistake how I meet you

In my heart I was searching for love when I meet you

I have heard people say miracles do happens, so I went in search for one

I can't explain what got into me when I saw you walking on

It’s like all my life I have been waiting for you

Though we were strangers, it felt like i already knew you

And i keep falling in love over and over for you

I am shy admitting I keep getting fond of you

When you smile, it flashes between my eyes and my heart skipped for you

I want you to know that no matter what

I am going to save the whole of my heart for you

Because I can't stop loving you

BY THE RIVER BANK

 

I was running down the river bank
I saw a damsel walking by a mile
She was holding something like a beacon
I could swear she was wearing a smile
I paused for my heart urge me to approach her
I was startled for it's just a moment I met her

The wind whisper something to my ear
Like I would be losing someone irreplaceable and rare
So I lower my guard and embraced her
Held her close to my bosom and kissed her
The sea was calm and the sun smiling
It felt shy for I wasn't sure what I was doing

I went back home unconsciously with a piece of her unbroken
I thought as I slept off, at dawn it would have all been forgotten
But the morning never came calling
For I saw her again in the star smiling
I could feel the pulses that I wasn't out of my mind

So I gave up my feelings not to be lonely anymore for her beauty is divine
I couldn't have gotten her if I had gave up my soul
I let love take its course and my body and mind became whole
I couldn't take my feelings away from the cabin where my heart berth
So it wouldn't drift away, for I have found love so real and right
From a damsel I meet by the river bank
