RUNNING INTO YOU

There is something unique about you
That makes me keep running into you
You've found a way of making me happy
This tells why always I think of you

Tell me if there is something I missed about you
Maybe its the way you smile or the look in your eyes?
The reason you walked straight into my heart
Or maybe I am just out of my mind

Can't figure out the difference
Why I keep running into you
Ever since, my heart's searching for a miracle
It rained heavily just as I was thinking about you

EVERYDAY

Everyday on the street hustling to make doe
Before I step out, get upon my knees and start to pray
Mama used to say son, let God be your strength and guild
Someday the sun's going to reside in your heart

The night came so fast, life left no spoil for the day
The world became dark, I couldn't afford a heart going astray
So I bought a little lamb and kept it close to my heart
If I can't find the sun, will light a smile in my heart

I learnt its possible to live a life one's wishing for
No need to take the gun to rob to achieve what one's seeking for
Its dangerous to live a life compromised with grieve
Everyday miracle occurs for those who only believe

No one told me life was going to be uneasy
The rain came and fell upon my dream in the evening
Yesterday faded away, for God gave me a brand new day
I found a life without strife and regrets, filled with better day

FATHER'S LOVE

Out of ignorant, Sammy left home in search of greener pasture
Took all his belongings but a father's love
On the street the rain fell on his dreams
As he walk on marbles in a silver shoe

He saw the sun rest on his shoulder
The stream flowing by daylight
Life so rewarding, flowers flourishing
The world resting under his feet

He forgot home and found the life he seek in his dream
Living a callous but lonely life at it peak
Lost everything including the joy he thought reside
Life flashes so fast between his eyes, as he lost track of time

Life became darker and the night longer
Tomorrow never came, difficult it was to survive the night
Became a destitute, afraid of going home he turned his back on
All the luxuries dispossessed but a piece of tattered dress

A pair of shoe long out of shape and a shack by the alley
Was the closest thing he got close to a home
Lost in ecstasy of shame and a denuded life
For he threw away all he had to ungratefulness and pride

One night he looked up the sky and found a star
It was so bright it lighted the sky as he stare and started to cry
A soft voice whisper to his depressed and wandering heart
All is not lost son,  you've got a father's love waiting at back home
