Just about everything in life
I have laughed

And I have regretted
Ever knowing her

And there are days
Unhappy days
Lonely days

Days that I wish could die stillborn
But they live
They survive to torment me
But peace
No matter how hidden
I will find it
It may elude me
But
It cannot do that forever
And my dreams
My ambitions

They are not far away
And
I have spoken to them
My dreams
They have agreed
To my lifelong pleas
They are not far away
They will come to be with me soon
Never far away
