REHAB

Life out of rehab took me a day at a time
Recuperating to the essence of life
Life is demanding and incomprehensible
The word so narrow, I see the picture of who I am inside

I starved and starved hoping I would lose my appetite
But couldn't separate my past from who I have become
It hurts me everyday and at night in my sleep
Sometimes it feels like I am hallucinating

Yet I fell the pain in my heart in the morning
It's rough and difficult out here
Sleeping with guilt of a frustrating week
Its not easy but friends never gave up on me

At first I couldn't share my story with the world
Preying eyes judging me the rest of my life
Each day staying up longer
And my night's getting colder

I may never catch up with life
I may never be able to change my past
But I wouldn't give up trying
Not until I am sober again

DRIFTING IN LOVE

Falling in love with you
Is like drifting on an open sea 
Don't know where the heart will take me
Only the thoughts of loving you 

With you, knew I have a diamond compass 
The wind setting sail to paradise 
Just about when the sun is rising 
My feelings is thrown over board 

For you blindly I took the bait 
I miss you very much
What the heck was I thinking 
That I could stop loving you 

It feels like forever 
Waiting for the sun after it rained 
I hope you're missing me too 
Same way I missed everything about you

Two stars under a candlelight 
Laying together side by side

HEART OF ROSES

Its uncommon to find someone
Who understands how I feel
The pains and struggle I go through
When I am in dire need of a person to talk too

You treat me like a queen
Restless the day I fell ill
Knows when I am sad or feeling happy
Sacrificed everything just to be with me

Taught me how to care and love
Just like an angel from heaven above
You always know when I needed a hug
Now I knew you are made specially by God

I can never repay all the love
Care and sacrifices you gave
But show you in my own little way
I appreciate the smile you leave in my heart each day

God blessed me right from the day of my birth
Because I have a mother in me whom took pride
Embraced me with a heart of roses
Sealed by the purity of a mother's kiss

You will always be a part of my life
I will give away everything I've got and never think twice
The cost of having the tenderness of you smile
For a mother's love will never die

DOWN THE ROAD

I've got no brothers
I've got no sisters 
To shrivel the burden in my heart 
Just the sun at the edge of the sky

Taking a walk on a shattered day
Harmattan isn't far from September 
Life is hostile, subjugated by death 
Then comes scars of hunted regret 

In the world the heart is made in pair 
Born of a uncircumcised feeling 
A feeling to be loved and adore 
A feeling of insecurity and trust 
 
Toggled down and trampled upon 
Is the will of a genuine essence of life 
Uniformity in spirit, mind and thoughts 
A world created by a just God

CROWN OF GLORY

The devil tries to steal my crown 
He plucked the stars away from the sky 
For tomorrow not to be made 
But in the morning the sun stood

The passage of life the enemy altered 
With strife, famine and war 
The devil cut the line to castigated the world 
But no one dare stop God's plan 

Under the shadows of the most high 
I am fermented to an eternal Will 
Life tried to break my heart and spirit 
But I am a vessel with a soul tamed 

Everyday the enemy lay an ambush
Dug a pit preying I will fall 
In a world flooded with wickedness and greed
Harms never comes to stay my way 

God's words, angels is abreast 

Everyday I pray hard
Faith in my heart I heed
In heaven await a crown of glory

PORTRAIT OF AGONY

In the face of agony
Care is unseen but sin
Last night in the road through melancholy
I saw a mother make rain, the waters of her eyes

In circles of waves, hate replicated 

Drifting love afar, next to obscurity
Lust and selfishness paved
The world ignores a child's innocence

Blood seizes to be bond

A rift in between
Like a gap tooth
Unity is just a fallacy

Hearts are eaten in lies and deceit

Poisoned to war with canal promises
Where lies the conscience?
Yet each day we blow the trumpet of change

How can man live in gain if his heart is condemned?

It's time we start asking the right questions
If the world is meant to be destroyed and deserted
Why did God create the universe?

It cost nothing to do what's right

All it takes is but a little sacrifice
Love one another, to a brother, lend a hand
To wade off agony from the earth surface
