DANCING IN THE RAIN

Tap, tap, tap, the sky cries as tears drop
Like lots of tiny pebbles thrown on a brick wall
As her tears submerged me, it rose my tentacles
The grasses excited beneath my feets
The trees clapping as they beckoned me into their midst

As it rains, it flows underneath the rocks
Slashing sounds of different tune like an organ
Playing for me to dance on and on
If you want to tag along, follow my steps?
One and two, one and two, lift your feet and spread your wings
Let the water flow through your vein
It is fun once you start dancing in the rain

I see my reflecting smiling back at me
My body soaked with the desire to dance on
Every step I take, the wind hallowed under my feet
I felt love as she rains and kisses my lips
And cuddled me with a sensation urging me not to stop

Dancing like a queen on the dance floor
The trees take a bow for it was a beautiful day
You've got to love it when it rains each day
It fills the word with love, calmness and hope
For the earth comes alive as it evolve

GHETTO

Life ain't easy growing up in the ghetto
People suffering, no foods, cloths or someone to turn to
Mama always told me to take life easy that she loves me
She hugs me every day as a reminder to love everyone around me
Son, she says, you've got to work hard to make a living
Going through college, getting a job wasn't easy from the beginning
So I went down on my knees and pray
God has a reason for watching over me
Every day I ask God for his plans towards me

I have been putting on the same clothes for years
Graduating out from college was only by his grace
The world doesn't regard me because of where I am from
I vowed in my life to do everything to prove the world wrong
I have got every right to leave a decent life
I used to trek the distance to hang out at my best friend's house
Every day my dreams grew stronger, I knew life can be as deserved
But I couldn't afford to take my girlfriend out,
For I wasn't able to give her the love she deserved
With holes in my shoes, I trend my way seeking for a job that's not lost
I read every book I could find, searching why life is difficult
I sat down one night crying and asked God what I have done
Why suffering for something I knew not when it occurred

I couldn't take care of mom and my little sister
But tried not to leave home without a smile in my hand
I had hope as a companion, only he knows where it hurt me most inside
My dreams are always around me, they remind me to put distractions aside
In the ghetto, we share everything we had together
Love was not scared for everyone was a brother
When it rains, I spent the whole night awake
Watching little drops find their way through my room in the dark
It's beautiful to have a dream, even when they are sometimes vogue
For out of this world, no man can breach the stars from shining above
For no matter what the world throws at me
In life someday the world is going to appreciate me
I am going to make it and fly so high
And look back at the world and smile

BLINDLY IN LOVE WITH YOU

The first time I met you seem like yesterday
I recall how pretty the pink dress looks on you
We were strangers from two different world
Yet we had a connection in our heart somehow
I couldn't helped not staring at you
Today I still can’t get used to you
I will still love you if someday the world passes away
For I fell like a child whenever with you
And can never get lost as long as I am around you

At a time when I didn't see you for months
I lost everything I had in the world within a month
Deep in my heart every day I prayed for a miracle
When I learnt you were back in town, I was so excited
All of a sudden I noticed the weather was calm
I knew the sun was going to be brighter nowadays
For I had so much I wanted to tell you to forever stay
But time has is greedy; she rarely gives me the privilege
To show you the priceless portrait you drew in my heart
For it made the canvass forever beautiful in my heart
