IF I HAD EVERYTHING

If I had everything
Thought I will be alright
There was a moment in time
I felt emptiness inside

The world is vogue
She got her own plans
It’s a miracle, a life without consequence
Like walking on the highway blindfolded

If I had everything
I wouldn’t fall ill or die
Isn’t it strange how the clock ticks?
It never takes a second back

Life is short, yet we work hard
Unforeseen is the tragedy of life
For the world is imperfect
Can’t allow it to tear me apart

If the world move in circle
How can I turn back the hand of time?
Sometimes I wish life would pass
And take the rocks out of my path

If I had everything
Life will still be incomplete
I could throw pebbles into the sea
It doesn’t take the night from the sky

I think I’ve got just a choice to make
Put my nightmares and dreams
In a sack of fate
And watch it while the night falls asleep

BLACK BIRD

Oh black bird, why can’t you fly?
All through life you’ve been fighting a war
Fell from your mama’s back at your tender age
Cruelly the world turns to you her back

Sorrow is your comfort, pain your companion
Beaten by hate, wings soaked with sadness
Life is deserted, you stood under the cloud without hope
Oh black bird, I wish you could come back home

Don’t despise the world, for there will always be a war
Under your wings, you can find comfort and strength
Can you think of the memories that make you smile?
Somewhere in your heart you can find love to survive

Please black bird; don’t throw away your heart
Life may try to tear your feeling apart
Spread your wings and let the wind take your hands
You are beautiful; don’t let the world make you think otherwise

Shed away the tears in your eyes
Just a little more sleep, you will be aright
No one knew life was going to be this bad
You've got to let go your burden for its going to be alright

JOY

Joy cometh in the morning

And stays with the heart all day

It gives us the grace over life challenges

When our ship is going astray

Joy, whenever she finds you, never leaves

When trail and temptation comes, joy stands with you

The world may be broken, tears in your eyes

But with joy, brings sun shines in your life

So many homes are in pain and sorrow

Each day the world mourn over her love ones

But with joy, there is a reassurance and renew hope

Amid the storm, one can have a reason to be glad

When joy fills a heart troubled and burdened

Like a stream, peace and happiness flows within

It takes away all our worries

For joy cometh in the morning

It’s discouraging when you look at the world today

By and by, life beauty fading away

As you wish so much more to life for all

In the light on that heavily place is joy

A LIFE TIME

DEDICATED TO UNITED 95 AT HER ANNIVERSARY/RE-UNION PARTY 2015

We crawled, we learn to walk
We stood up tall and fall
Life so far ahead
But we held on head strong

We had a dream
We had a vision
We have a heart uncompromising
And a bond above the sky

Love and Unity
Embraced from the dept of our heart
As we sail through the sea of life against all odds
Sight set on the shore of our motherland

We sang a song of victory
Our spirit burning with passion and a goal
Someday our story told
As we stood a midst the storm in the sea

The sun rest each day on our shoulder
Though tomorrow maybe far away
It can never killed our zeal
As we journeyed beyond the stars
Arise and shine fellow brothers
Ye hold the future to our father land
As the father looks up to his son and hug him proudly
So shall we lift the glory of united christian secondary school

LOVE AND UNITY

Arise ye student of United 95
Taught by the best of teachers
With pride, we wore our blue and white strip
With love, and made our mother proud

Heroes rise and fall
But with education, courage, dignity and love
We prospered where others failed
And yielded to a brother's call

Never did we allow faith withered
We build a bond and wrote a will in our heart
That someday if the world is unsatisfied
We will have a reason to smile in our heart

Today, we walk the street with dignity
We are kings and queens, the world tells our story
A story written on the walls of our heart in black and white
For we came, we fought and we conquered

ANGEL

(A Poem Inspired by
Ankur Masih..... a Gospel Song Writer and Musician

I didn't grow up in the city
I was a little girl in love with the morning and stars
I used to read storybooks about angels
Never thought I would someday hear an angel sing

I was playing by the lawn at our backyard
I heard a voice so sweet, it made heaven fell on my feet
It felt like God came to visit us
So I ran my heart's out to catch a glimpse

Noticed mama was alone in the living room
Rocking her favorite chair, In front of her was a TV
Curious, I knew I heard a voice, unique but rare
It wasn't my birthday and Christmas is so far afar

Dad isn't around, and my best friend is out of town
I was so eager to figure out who it was
So I slipped in behind mama, my eyes caught something
I noticed a man gorgeously dress smiling back at me

It's like he knew I was coming as he sang one of my favorite song
In Christ alone my hope is found. He is my strength, my life, my song
As the words sink deep into my heart, mama gave me a grin
Said child, I feel in love the first time I heard him sing

WHERE AM I IN YOUR WORLD?

Everyday I drift further away from you
But my heart keeps growing stronger for you
There are times when I wish you are an angel
Hoping when I am fragile and lonely, you will be there

I tried to tell you all my secrets, so I would hide nothing from you
Do you remember how you saw the imperfection in me, yet loved me
Don't get me wrong, I am not proud of the things I put you through
Truth is I don't deserve the right to be with you

I will gladly pay for the crime of not appreciating you
Can you forgive me and lend me a chance to make things right
I don't know whats going on in your mind

How come this days you have not been looking at the picture

Maybe I should have walked by a thousand times
So you can notice this much about my feelings for you
Since you walked out on me, life has never been the same
In my world, I have always pictured you to stay

I sometimes ask myself why the huge of having so much feelings for you
Yet I don't have the courage to tell you truly how I feel about you
It's not because I am scared of losing you
It's because I feel like a kid when ever I am around you

I am sitting out here on the staircase thinking about you
It's getting dark, I feel like holding your hands and hugging you
It's been raining all day in my life and I am cold
I really need you to be here with me to hold

You and I have been living under the same big cloud
Thoughts of seeing you make me feel good and proud
Sometimes I don't know what to believe in anymore
Maybe it's because I am lonely and looking for an alibi

Sometimes when I pick up the phone to call
I run short of words, I just say hello that I am checking up on you
I lied, I have wanted to tell you so much more about my feeling
Like how I missed watching you smile when you are walking

Sometimes I look at your pictures, you are so pretty and full of life
I still want you to feel that way, we can make it work
It's true what they say, you don't know how valuable someone is
Until you missed them, but painfully I want you to be apart of my life
